It prevents only a small percent of the virus’ linked to cervical cancer. It does not prevent the cancer. They are marketing it wrong.

And the lies continue. Well, they aren't really, lies, just not the whole truth. Gardasil does not protect against all causes of cervical cancer, only about 60% of them, and even that depends on your ethnicity. Plus it's not yet known if this is 100% effective, nor that a booster shot isn't needed some time in the future. Then there's side effects/reactions, including death, which are starting to pile up. Another problem is that it makes those who received this stuff think they are safe, which they are not, because there are still several other strains of papilloma virus which gardasil has no effect on, plus it causes young women to skip yearly pap smear testing which is still the only way cervical cancer can be detected in early stages while it's treatable.

The best way to prevent cervical cancer from exposure to papilloma virus is still abstinence, avoiding sex with multiple partners and partners who have had multiple partners. Other cancers can also be avoided by avoiding the pill, and practicing abstinence.

I did the math on this once, when Gardasil first came out. Less than 1% of the female population gets cervical cancer. What Merck actually means is that the profits are worth the risk.

The insidiousness of pushing this at schools - and having these young people, who haven't the experience to be wary - and who don't want to be the only one that doesn't go with the crowd - is criminal.

At the most, a notice should be sent to the parents - NOTHING should be said to the school kids - and then only the kids whose parents want to risk it should be given these shots.

The gov’t (FDA - and DC politicians who invest in stock of these vaccines) is hooked up with the pharmaceutical co., to make money - and convincing everyone to take shots - more and more and more of them - is becoming an epidemic in itself, with us as guinea pigs. these vaccines are like Russian Roulette.

We - and our children - are expendable. And you can bet that if obamacare gets through - you will have no choice...or your kids will be taken from you as bad parents - and given the shots anyway.

It seems that the politicians don't yet control the CDC - they are warning against this - and they are they are ones that say that the Swine flu is about as ‘bad’ as a cold or regular flu and that the possible side effects of the flu vaccine may not be worth taking it - and the gov’t wants people to take THREE shots this time. (Obama, when confronted with the question of why he had $50,000 invested in the company making the vaccine, he did not deny it - just said he ‘wasn't aware just when it was invested.)

Was it the vaccine itself that caused the Lupus, or did she have a predisposition to Lupus that was set off by her immune system from getting a vaccine?

Also, the article makes it sound as if Lupus and cerebral vasculitis are 2 separate entities. Her vasculitis is probably directly related to the Lupus process.

I used to counter anti-vaccine internet hysteria with facts and logic. But it's like trying to empty the Pacific ocean with a bucket. So I give up.

I'm ready to join the internet anti-vaccine zealots now.

Don't ever get any vaccine for any reason. Vaccines will kill you dead within five minutes of the shot. If you have been vaccinated for anything at any time in your life, cut off your arm to save yourself. In fact, if you even think about getting a vaccine for anything, you will get GBS instantly. No vaccine will protect you from any disease. Vaccines are a massive conspiracy designed by big pharm to take all of your money and kill you.

This is fun. I like being an anti-vaccine zealot.

Consider:
The incidence of Lupus approaches 100 per 100,000 (though it is actually higher in the group being vaccinated, ie: women) and can be expected to manifest sometime between the ages of 10 and 60 years old.

The article states that more than 26 million doses have been distributed in the US, with dosing done in three injections over six months. This comes to about 8.7 million people to be vaccinated in the US alone.

Of these 8.7 million we should expect 8700 to develop Lupus sometime in their life. Given our window of 50 years for Lupus to present and eight months being our window from first dose of vaccine to two months after the last we should expect over 100 women to present with Lupus within two months of their Gardasil course. The girl in the story is one of these.


Lupus is an awful disease and the subject's story is a sad one, but it is anecdotal. The vaccine reporting system is such that you report any illness that occurs around the time of a vaccination. That one person received the shot and then became sick does not prove anything. People become sick all of the time and when as many people receive a vaccination and have had Gardisil a substantial number will become ill within an approximate time of their vaccination. Correlation does not imply causality.
