Yale criticized for nixing Muslim cartoons in book

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Yale University has removed cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad from an upcoming book about how they caused outrage across the Muslim world, drawing criticism from prominent alumni and a national group of university professors.

Yale cited fears of violence.

I'm reminded of the fact that after murderous muslim 9-11 there were no anti-muslim riots resulting in no deaths. And these "people" from the dark ages kill over cartoons.

Appeasement may avert violence in the short term, but it guarantees it in spades in the long term.

“As a journalist and public commentator, I believe deeply in the First Amendment and academic freedom,” Zakaria said. “But in this instance Yale Press was confronted with a clear threat of violence and loss of life.”

It is when we fear violence over willingly giving our lives for freedom that we are no longer free. Our Founding Fathers are rolling over in their respective graves.

Or, "We totally support free speech, unless it results in any kind of inconvenience or threat."
