Don’t know if it’s germane to the topic, but I’ve noticed an increasing tendency among the Media Talking (but otherwise empty) Heads of referring to Cabinet Secretaries (the official ones) as “Ministers”....
Which, to me, comes uncomfortably close to evoking Russo-European style of Socialist Governance...
Actually, the term “Minister” is a Royalist term, from the time when Kings ruled and had Ministers run things for them.
