Hmmm, I remember the after school special in the 70s (remember those? LOL) called, I believe, “The Blue Wave”, and it was the same thing as described here. The students became little brownshirts and some got violent. They even wore arm bands to distinguish themselves as the elite. In the end, the teacher tells them that they will get to meet their leader in the school auditorium, where the whole school will gather to hear him speak. They are all so very proud that they finally get to meet their leader.
A movie screen rolls down, and on it, an image of Hitler speaking to a massive crowd appears. The fascist little brats that were—just minutes before—arrogant pubescent brownshirts (OK, I think they were blue), were soon sobbing and most were horrified.
As far as After School Specials went, that one was pretty good. Obviously, it stuck with me.

"I remember that After School special too! It also stuck with me, after all these years.
I think Obama's Hopey Changey symbol even looks a bit like the one in the movie.
At the time- I didn't realize the film was based on a actual event. Chilling.
I think we all need to watch this again, and kids need to see it too.
