Well, it’s fairly easy to fix when it starts, with orthotics. But if the person has worn tight high heels for years and the bone is fixed in the new position it requires surgery. The surgery is messy and not always successful, AND requires that you keep all weight off the foot and wear a bulky cast for quite a long time.
