Yay SL, you got plugged in! (Keep yer hands off SL's plug, Obama!) ;-)

Good also to hear you are being treated at Mass General because that should surely ease your parents' mind quite a bit. They'll fix you up in no time.

How did you know there was a problem to seek medical care in the first place - i.e., what were your symptoms? Was it the numbness?

Well, if you were a righthander & are having to write with your left hand temporarily until the nerves get unpinched, let me be the first to say: welcome to the lefthanders' club! You know what they say, thanks to the bilateral assymetry of the brain, only we lefties are really 'right' in the head, so you may not ever want to go back. ;-)

Thanks, leilani!

I had been experiencing severe vertigo a handful of times over the past year. At my age, that is not out of the ordinary for women, so no one knew.

Then with this most recent event, I had unsteadiness on my feet, symptoms like food poisoning, and numbness on my right.

The other symptoms seemed to go away, but the numbness got worse and I went to the ER, where they found the hemorrhage and then when I was transferred to Mass General, they found the tumor.

:) I still have mobility on my right - it’s just not normal yet. But I am optimistic as my foot is getting better and my arm is not quite what it was yesterday.

I just came back from a little walk with Dad. He took his real walk first and then came back and went a ways with me.
