Hi All,
I just received an e-mail from "saveliberty" advising me she has been hospitalized. The cause as she wrote was:
"I have a significant, but benign tumor near my ear that is pushing against a nerve (which hemorrhaged). It sounds bad but I have excellent care."
It certainly does sound serious to me, even though saveliberty said she was being well cared for. She did want me to let her FRiends here know of her condition. When I get further info, I will post it.
In the mean time, if you could add saveliberty to your prayers, I know she would be comforted by that.
saveliberty is often the Threadmistress, and I am but a poster. So, if you all could perhaps place saveliberty's situation in the proper locations, I would be very grateful. [Or Moderators, if you are reading this.]
Get well soon, saveliberty!
Thank you, Alamo-Girl!
Thank you, toomanygrasshoppers!
Glad to hear your symptoms have been improving, save, and hope you continue to feel better. Absolutely call your doctor’s often to check for any surgery cancellation. We’ll all pray that you are successful and get this over with safely sooner than you think!
Thank you, GoldwaterChick! :)
Giggle. Good for you!
Thanks for the update, SL. You are in the prayers of all Snowflakes.
Thank you, MaggieCarta!
LOL She gets a call tomorrow! Lucky her! :)
Grin. :) Think of it as her job.
(((Hugs)))
Glad to hear the good news. As Groucho Marx said, don’t
forget abscess to make the heart grow fonder.
Prayers up!
(I got the editor’s report back; been busy rewriting)
Thank you, Loud Mime! I knew that you were busy; I am hoping that whatever helps to inspire you best will bring your work to what you and the editor would like it to be.
I am off to crash and will catch up on the other postings tomorrow.
Nite.
Hi Foxthy!
The tooth ith out and while medication ith available, I don’t need it for now. Back molar, went quickly, applied cold packth, ate fake ice cream, fake frappe flavored with real coffee and cold noodles.
I am glad to be rid of it.
Spent tonight at a Davidson Wildcats dinner where Coach Bob McKillop was attempting to whip up support for his basketball team. When I was on Long Island (NY) this weekend, I took some time to visit Hofstra College, McKillop’s Alma Mater, and take some photos. I parked in a reserved slot and a local security guard was immediately on me. However, when I mentioned I was taking a photo to give to Coach McKillop, the guy treated me like royalty. Such is the influence of our beloved basketball coach on college campuses. Coach McKillop was also good friends with Tony Snow and had Tony speak to the team prior to one of their DC area games.
OK, off for an early bedtime. Still dragging.
Nite.
Since your surgery has been pushed back until December barring a turn for the worse on your part or an earlier opening on the doctors’ part, I suppose a weekly update makes the most sense.
Drop a line or a post when you get a chanced.
The SnowFlakes following your saga on this Thread should be advised that normally sunny and warm North Carolina is having snow in the western part of the state. Two thoughts cross my mind when it snows. I always think of Tony and I always think of the foolishness that is global warming.
I'll be off to watch the last, I think, of the “Inspector Lewis” series on PBS.
Ciao
Hi Foxy,
We had guests on both Saturday and Sunday, so it was busy.
I will post an update later this week, but overall, symptoms are improving. I am hoping to hear good news about the surgery date, but it may be too soon to find an earlier date.
How was PBS?
BTW we had snow too - I have never seen snow falling in flakes that were as big as silver dollars! Wow!
It all melted overnight though.
Cheers,
save
Did not get to see Masterpiece Theater on Sunday as youngest daughter called at the exact moment it started and talked thru the whole show. Kids never loose their timing, do they? Thankfully, I quickly hit the record button on the DVR. Have not yet had a chance to see it, yet.
You said you saw snowflakes falling that were the size of silver dollars. The good news is that they were silver dollars. Part of Obama’s stimulus. [Dropping money from the sky.] The bad news is that they did indeed disappear, just like all of the other stimulus money down some dark hole and no one knows where it will be found...Chicago?
Look forward to your update later this week.
Ciao
Have a good week.
Hello fellow Snowflakes!
Griff Jenkins talks about Tony’s Mile for a Miracle on video here:

My update is that my surgery has been moved back again due to the availability of the team members. The bad news is that the new date was going to be at the end of January (gasp!) and the shock of this move contributed to a significant relapse.
I did try to keep upbeat but the symptoms responded to the stress.
Thankfully, I am back to where I was before the relapse, which is good: tingling is only in feet and three fingers; stiffness is much less than it was. Yay!
The other thing to be thankful for is that the doctor’s office was able to find and confirm (!) my surgery date for the end of December. It’s not as soon as I would like, but it’s a darned sight better than late January!
I am also thankful to have you as my friends. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers and for your kind messages!
Cheers,
save
Keeping you in my prayers, dear one!
(((Hugs))) Thank you, FRiend! :)
I like your tagline!
So...you're on ObamaCare?
Wishing you well!
