"2040 -- The football world was shocked today as Brett Favre came out of a one week retirement to sign with the St Louis Rams, the only team that he had not played for in his decades long NFL career. Favre, now approaching his 71st birthday, was quoted as saying, "I've always admired the Rams and I know that I can still contribute to this team."
Reaction in Green Bay, where Favre played for many years around the turn of the century, was mixed with some saying they were disgusted at his lack of loyalty to the Cheeseheads, some saying they are glad to see him back on the field but most saying "Who's Brett Favre?"
I wish he go away just because, even after all these years, I still can’t pronounce his name.
We will never forget you, Brent!
Yawn!
So has he announced who he’ll be playing for when he comes out of retirement again in 2011? 2012? I figure once they make rocket-powered walkers legal he’s good through about 2040, when they’ll expand the league to include the Martian teams...
It’s Brett. Did you already forget? ;)
Someone on here once said to me, “some jokes write themselves”, and this is obviously one of those instances.
Want some real excitement watch Cutler and Da Bears!
Favre will be the one laughing all the way to the bank with his 23 Million dollars. In the middle of a depression, not bad.
For $25M I’d get on all fours, bark like a dog and yell “spank me”......
I think that should read BRETT, not BRENT.
SZ
OK, how much can I get for a buck thirty five?
I've wondered the same thing. I live about 12 miles from his hometown of Kiln, MS. I've been in this area since '77 and have wondered about quite a few names here. But then, I try not to be argumentive and as we used to say in the service, "For the purpose of this formation, 'Favre' = 'Farve.' "
Wish it were true.
LOL!
I do believe that’s the joke!
I hope every defense he plays against makes him wish he had stayed retired.
He didn’t have is bifocals on. Couldn’t see the receivers.
