There’s an easy way to combat that. The best way to prevent problems is to not wear the disgusting things in the first place. I can't understand why people want to put their ugly feet on display anyway.

Agreed. I can’t imagine why anyone would want to risk all that filth getting onto their skin and into any sores they might have. Not to mention dragging it all home to the children and the pets.
