We are sure it's not the dogs fault , they must have done something to provoke the dog.... SARCASM
As some have been saying all along, it's the nature of the beast, the pitbull dog has a killer instinct, and no matter how much the pitbull lovers want to make them out to be cute cuddly fuzz balls of love, they are killer dogs.

it does no good to punish these people now.....obviously, this is something that will follow the family including that 17yro all of their lives, in not a good way....
this was an accident waiting to happen....
please people.....its not the cockerspaniels or the collies or the pugs that are doing this...its one breed, one breed only, with exceptions of course.....
its not worth your machismo to have a dog like this when little ones or frail ones who depend on YOU for protection are put at such risk...

Any remaining minor children in the home should be placed in foster care immediately, and both parents should be charged with negligent homicide: death or great bodily harm to a defenseless child was foreseeable as a possibility in such a case.

Michael Vick is deeply saddened.

This is extremely sad.
Fair warning to all dog owners:
My good friends had to give their beloved schnauzer to her mother, because the dog was growling & snarling at the new born baby. This dog was a well mannered house dog that was always friendly to me when I visited them.
ANY kind of family dog can get jealous & hostile to a new baby in the house. A bull dog may be more dangerous to a baby, but any dog can cause serious injury or death.
So, if you have a new baby, or having a baby over for a visit, keep a close eye on the dog.
