Finally a real post I can ask a question to...
Petronski,
I just bought an Imac 20’’, can you explain to me what everyone is talking about on this thread?
Btw...I already bought Snow Leopard, but don’t have a clue what that means!

When you actually install Snow Leopard, you computer will be more capable, with new features and yet will probably also run faster.

This thing is smokin’ fast already!
I look forward to that disc arriving...but being a newbie, it will take me time to learn how to use it!

Well, for the most part, what you will be doing is learning to find new features. What you know now should carry forward almost perfectly.
You’re no doubt running Leopard (OS X 10.5), and Snow Leopard is one version newer (OS X 10.6).

Yes sir, and I’m a self taught PC operator.
I’m having fun using the Mac, but it will be awhile before I catch up with the technology!

I'm typing on the Dell now, but the Mac is Leopard I think 10.5.5, maybe we missed an update. I'll check for the specifics later. If you are still on OSX.5.5, then you are behind. The current version is OSX.5.8. As for Spotlight definitions, click on the ALL choice at the top of the dictionary window that opens. Doing that would have obviated all of this back-and-forth frothing at the mouth...
