I sincerely wonder if Obama was abused by Lolo. Indonesian discipline would most surely be different than American discipline and given that he was not only not his son, which many stepfathers have a problem with (not all mind you, but a good many from my experience), but also was at a glance a reminder that it wasn’t his son. This was a different time.
Add to the fact that Ann sent Obama to live with his grandparents... I just can’t see her doing that for no reason. Later she herself left him and took their daughter too.
Just an observation that I believe may contribute to Obama’s sense of narcissism.
I agree that his childhood was a significant factor.
I believe narcissists come most often from a divided parental situation, and especially from a situation where one parent sort of idealizes them and the other devalues them.
Kids who don’t bond with someone in the very first weeks and months of life carry this lack of development throughout life. This psychic “hole” is apparent to everyone who has to deal with the person. Yet it seems to be invisible to the person himself. When all those dendrites and synapses should have been forming, and when he should have been out innocently learning “male” things like how to throw a ball and act like a MAN, he was doing God knows what. Likewise, “God knows what” was being done to him. Well I have news for him. People with FAR worse upbringings learn to overcome it and they go on to do wonderful things. He was so “put upon” being half black, half white. His mom could’ve aborted him. Since he loves abortion so much, I guess he wishes that she had.
