Chode, thank you for all of your efforts in maintaining the ping list and selecting excellent updates.
As this season closes, I just want to reiterate a sentiment I have expressed before, confirmed in spades at the last race.
MICHAEL SCHUMACHER IS A DISGRACE. I hope the drivers next year will not have to endure his presence next year.
Well I can say with much confidence, that Schumacher (in his prime) would not have finished 7th in a final race of the season when starting 3rd, and when a 4th place would have delivered the title.
As for being a disgrace, then....
Mark Weber is a disgrace for driving up the rear wheel of Kovalainen at Spain,
Hamilton is a disgrace for pushing too hard in the final laps at Monza and throwing away a podium,
Vettel is a disgrace for t-boning Button at Spa,
Alonso is a disgrace for... well, for finishing 7th in a race he should have been on the podium and been awarded a season championship.
I can add racers to this list, but if turn 1 mishaps were the bellwether of racer’s disgrace, most would then, in fact, be a disgrace.
I lurked more than posted, but also want to thank Chode for keeping up the F1 interest on this forum. This was a fantastic season with all the changes at the top for the driver’s championship, decided in the last race in a gutsy move by Vettel coming out of the pits. A true champion; I love watching him race.
