F1 made a huge mistake in thinking that electrification will grow the sport. The only thing subsidizing batteries did was to keep incumbent constructors entrenched and make the cars bigger, heavier and positively gangly. Get rid of MGU- and MGU-K and go with a simple 1.6 liter turbo, no limitation on the number of cylinders or configuration and a spec fuel. Make the minimum weight 350 lbs less. With ground effects back, we would have some pretty good racing. Almost worth starting a competing series racing at the same tracks.
