funny...F1 Racing did a great season preview in last month’s issue...in previewing Virgin all they talked about was nick wirth bucking the trend and not using a windtunnel to design the car but completely basing his chasis on CFD (computer fluid dynamics) which all admit can end up as a huge blunder....and in the end he designs a race care with a fuel tank not large enough...
Richard Branson should’ve stayed w/Ross Brawn and ponied up the money because Virgin racing is turning into an embarrassment...
yup, fuel tank capacity is not rocket science... and computational fluid dynamics numbers are only as good as the algorithm used, no substitute for testing as far as i'm concerned
