From a technical standpoint, the Delta Wing is interesting, but it looks bizarre. I like Swift’s IndyCar proposal much better (not to mention Swift is also an American constructor).

I also wouldn’t mind seeing if Panoz could rework the DP01 into something that would work on ovals. That was a really sweet-looking car; too bad it only got a season’s worth of racing in.

Not quite Delta winged, but this seems to be an inspiration:

Dave MacDonald in Mickey Thompson's Sears-Allstate Special in the middle of the 5th row (14th) for the 1964 500 mile Memorial Day classic at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

And after that race, and the loss of Dave MacDonald, Gasoline Alley lost its gasoline.
