I just wonder if they are selling the same performance to customers as they build for themselves.

i'm guessing yes... iirc, when M-Benz came out with the split-turbo, 1/2 half on the front and 1/2 on the back of the engine, the customer engines ran a single unit

wasn't till later they released the same set up as they run in the customer engine

so i'm guessing Ferrari does something similar, some kind of de-tuning wouldn't surprise me a bit

wouldn't do for Torro Rosso, etc to beat the the Prancing Horse
