All the winglets remind me of this guy:

Decrease downforce. Make regulations that ensure as minimal as possible air disturbance trailing the car. You can bet the present designs seek to maximize disturbance to prevent passing. Spectators want passing - teams do not. Just think of Seb checking out at the head of the field in the RB-7. Do you think Newey would favor a design that would minimize training air disturbance? High downforce does not highlight driver skill. Keep big tires that can take a beating. Allow fenders on fairings. Emphasize mechanical grip over aero. Let's have drivers and not pilots. How about regulations that bring us a real car that looks more like this:

sure does, and i would LOVE to see a throwback year!

that said, i think single element front and rear wings would cut the cost by an order of magnitude and like you said bring us a little closer to drivers again rather than pilots

There we go!!!!! The ‘Shark Nose years’!!!! I’m so sick of the way F1 has gone. Maybe I’m just an old doofus but damn these changes, (EXCEPT for the great driver safety changes since the ‘60’s, Thanks Jackie!!!), crap pisses me off. Let the drivers drive without the electronics. Awe the hell with it, I just miss the old days. Never mind me.
