Would be a big mistake to invest in it. F1 is on the downhill slide and it is because of their stupid turbo V-6 hybrid “power units”. I have literally seen go kart races where the engines sounded better.
What these idiots fail to remember is racing is entertainment. For entertainment to succeed you have to have several sensory inputs that are stimulating to the human species. The two most important with racing are visual and sound. You take away one of them, sound, and you have removed 50% of two most important stimulants.
I think that is why Formula E will never be a commericial success. The cars are purdy, flashy, not very fast and sound like grandpa’s Hoveround.
Bring back the normally aspirated V-8’s or v-10’s that (cheaper than todays PU’s) scream like a banshee, reduce the incredibly complicated chassis regs opening it up so more teams can afford competitive cars and the sport(really industry) will thrive.
