The race course is great, but the last American to win a F1 race was Mario Andretti in 1978.
In the post race interview, Mario walked towards Hamilton, and you could see Hamilton’s respect. Then later, Hamilton got ahold of Mario’s cowboy hat, and it was cool.
I think all the American studs are oriented to Nascar because that’s where the quickest path to $$ success is. If Gene Haas F1 deal ever gets critical mass (hard to say, he’s got a LOT of money and Bernie is getting a bit desperate about car count) I could see them with an American.
