With Stewart-Haas Racing closing and F1 suggesting to Michael Andretti that it maybe better to buy an existing F1 team....... I wonder if Hass has had it with F1 racing also?
Hard to keep up that F1 teams are all worth over a Billion Dollars and we don't need new teams, when F1 is on the edge of losing one team.
Longterm I wonder about the viability of F1 with the push towards EV's and making oil evil. My suggestion is let all in who can afford to pay to enter before the Great Shake out. Difficult for car MFGs to sell EV's while racing IEC, difficult to tell workers they will not be a wage increase or even worse a layoff when the MFG spends billions in F1! The future of F1 could be rocky, Liberty is going the Nascar direction of entertainment instead of just racing for F1.

FIA has released a snapshot of the 2026 formula.
Lighter, smaller, more crash-worthy cars, narrower tires, less downforce but moveable aero, more electric bhp (no longer time-limited per lap), and synthetic fuel.

The problem with the electric fixation is they’re basing the sport’s future “social relevancy” on it but the wheels already are coming off the battery-only EV market.
The synthetic fuel burns cleaner but there’s more energy consumed and more pollution created in its manufacture than fossil fuels.
When did sports start being about anything except entertainment? All hail the New Green Religion.
