What is the roof composition?

For some reason I thought is was tile.

My brothers in Utah both have “tin” roofs & love them.

I remember when we had a fire here the FD said they hated the tile roofs. Heavy & dangerous were the keywords I heard.

Prayers up for the firefighters & their success!

It’s the old asphalt shingles, Connie. I have replaced them over the years, but I think it is time to go to something a bit safer. (And, fire proof.)

I know what you mean about the tile being heavy - and also - the critters get in the openings, easily. One of my neighbors got a copper roof - and another got a green metal of some kind. Neither will burn. (Smart neighbors.)

So - Looks like I’ll be looking into the ‘tin’ ones. Thanks for letting me know your brothers are happy with theirs.
