I was just pointing out that the Moon (like Earth) does not have a fixed dark side.
For someone to live on the dark side, would imply that they were in nearly constant motion. (which doesn’t really make sense)
Perhaps the author of the article meant ‘far side’ instead of ‘dark side’, but had a synapse misfire?
On second thought, maybe they were trying to make fun of the ET/UFO folks.
The moon rotates around the earth, with the same side always facing the earth.
It wasn’t a temporary lapse. It is in fact common for the far side of the Moon to be called the “dark side.” In fact, I’d bet that the far side of the Moon is called the “dark side” 999 times for every time it’s called the “far side.”
I’m not making fun of an individual writer. I’m pointing out a near-universal solecism.
