As soon as I entered the party here last night, it was over. LOL.
One of the windows on our house had a rotted sill - it was on the “back porch”, a block structure added by a previous owner, currently our laundry room.
Anyway, while my father may be a famous painter, he never painted the friggin’ house.
So Leda and I hemmed and hawed, and decided we would remove than window, brick it in, and move all the laundry stuff to that corner.
We spent a few hours tearing out the window. and a few more busting out the brick sill. Now we are bricking up the hole, so it will match the house, and I can move the plumbing.
You ready for the part that pisses me off?
Every bit of the wood that we tore out was - get this - CEDAR!
Hey Dad, how the _^E$^!$E^!_$ do you rot out cedar?
I know, don’t paint it for fourty years.
Sigh. I am going to yell at Dad.
