Well, the hail storm yesterday did not miss me like the last one did. It was only pea sized hail, but a half inch accumulated in a very short time. It was pretty cold too, 41F, not much like July. It really looked like winter with the ground all white. Lots of shredded veggie leaves on the ground and some still on the plants looked like swiss cheese. I think most will come back and the tomato and squash blossoms I sprayed with blossom set still are hanging on!

The mountains just east of us had dry lightning strikes Tues and several fires were started to begin the fire season for the high country. There may be a wetter version coming for them Monday. My dome greenhouse was plastic covered for the first several years and the hail would just shred it in one 15 minute storm...
