I used to get a call at least once a week from a woman who was working on her PhD in Nursing - usually about 2 or 3 am.
She would be crying - I lost my whole dissertation. I forgot to save before the buffer got full and now it is gone. I had to talk her through recovering it over and over again.
If they would just put out a decent GUI for Unix/Linux, that would be the way to go. But I hate all the quirky screwy names they attach for every program you want to run. But it is 10 times more stable than Microsoft.
