Like teaching classes in Spanish or students refusing to speak English, even when English-only students or teachers are around. IMO, they’re the ones that have always created the divide when I went to school. And probably still.<<<

Or, in my experience, it was “pick on the weak one”, I had no other whites to support me, so I was evil one out.

In Jr. High School, we had one African girl at the school, she was always alone, and I would look at her across the area and remember what that ‘alone’ feeling felt like.

If possible, I always asked her to join us, but then I was not a top dog there either, so was limited in being any better off than she was.

LOL, as I recall her, she was quiet and very ladylike.
