I could almost smell the creosote bushes.<<<

Thank you, and it is a wonderful and healing smell.

The Mexicans and Western Indians use the Creosote bush as a healing herb, said to be good for the stomach, when used as a tea.

Some of us use it in cosmetics for ourselves and it makes a healing salve, when soaked in olive oil.

It is banned by the health department, but then they only ban the useful herbs.

My stories, are what I lived, odd, I have to keep telling myself that while I thought I was living a normal life, others have never been down the same paths.

m’Lady, the vast majority of us live what we believe are ordinary lives. But as you evince so well, it is the observer in the rare few that allows the one walking the path to see the extraordinary in the panorama, the beautiful in the butterfly, the precious in the child. When you relate your anecdotes, your memories are of the extraordinary so many have missed who walked the same pathway before or are just coming along behind you on the same pathway. Sadly, many of us grew up with elders who made the wonder come alive for us, yet too many have lost the respect for the elders which makes them then unable to pass along to the young the wonder of it all. ... That's why so many of us at FR love to hear your stories, m’Lady. Your memories are glistening jewels in our minds eye. BTW, thank you so much.
