>> If there is a blue pil and a red pill and the red pill costs twice as much, I want discriminating consumers to select the blue pill.”
REELY? Even if the red pill is ten times as effective and you only have to take 1/5 as many?
Now, on the subject of doctors ordering multiple tests... I kind of agree that they often practice (expensive) defensive medicine to prevent malpractice suits, rather than out of medical necessity. But the CORRECT answer to that problem is to rein in the out-of-control trial lawyer industry, not legislate medical practice. You ready to do that Bambi? Smack down your trial lawyer donors? Huh? Didn’t think so.
He had a stated presumption that both were just as effective. < /gagging at having to defend Obama>
He didn't say what would happen if the blue pill works for most people, but not for you, would you have to call you Senator to get you a special exemption from the Bureau of Red and Blue pills.
Doctors seem to have no idea what prescriptions cost, which is a big problem. They should have at least a general price list to know that one drug is $100 for a treatment program while another is $4 and then decide with you if the $96 is worth it.
