Orly insists the Pakistan travel is a big issue? I do not keep up with everything on her website. I have personally asked that question to deniers online and they cannot point to a link that says travel was allowed. They usually say, my great, great uncle, or simlar, travelled there all the time.

Then I hear that if you were not considered one of them travel there would not be advised and you were not welcome.

Doesn’t matter to me. Obama’s passport to travel anywhere during that era is important to me. If he freely went anywhere he wanted on a foreign passport then we should know. His allegiance is in question so who he citizenship with is important.

We had many go to Cuba without any reprisals also.

I don’t know if Orly thinks the Pakistan travel issue is a big deal or not. I only know that she includes it in her briefs filed with the courts. And it’s incorrect.

I can’t point to a link that says travel was allowed either, but I have provided the government document number and text of the U.S. State Department travel advisory that says Pakistan was issuing 30-day visas to American citizens (tourists only) at their airports. The advisory was issued to let American citizens know that if they planned to stay longer than 30 days, they would need to apply for an extended visa prior to traveling to Pakistan.

Since the U.S. Department issued the advisory, it inherently implies that travel to Pakistan was permitted by both Pakistan and the U.S. I’ve heard some indicate that the travel ban was on Pakistan’s side not the U.S. side. The travel advisory also proves that claim to be false.

I’ve done extensive research on this one issue and have not found a single document in the National Archives that indicates travel to Pakistan was banned, warned against, advised against or anything of that nature. As I said, I’m trying to get my hands on a copy of the actual document from the Archives so I can scan it and post it. (Maybe I’ll send it to Polarik and have him post it so others don’t accuse me of online document forgery. Ha! Ha!)
