"I am sure I have tempted the Mods.....

Though I don’t know... they are curiously silent..."

Actually, while your idea has merit; after all, "One big pile is better than two little piles."; I think the mods have realized that keeping Zot threads in a separate enclosure simply elevates them to a special status, more or less equivalent to breaking news or the smoky back room.

I don't think they want that. Zotworthy threads should die an ignominious and lonely death as they are studiously ignored after the initial furor. Too many fame-seeking trolls would go after the status of being immortalized in such a Zot museum.

However, let it be noted that the Undead Thread does actually constitute such a memorial to Zot, having incorporated many troll-initiated threads into its festering, zombie-like putrescent flesh. Trolls are welcome to roll in the odor, like dogs that have found something truly dreadful to mask or enhance their scent.

Present thread company excluded, of course. We like to select spicy threads of all flavors, like Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans (Check the Ms!). Let's just say we have eclectic tastes.

The C’s are pretty icky, too. Of course, I’m not fond of candy, anyway.
