Time for the year's 3rd major championship(already)and the only one of the 4 that is not played on this side of the Atlantic.
This year's event takes us to the west coastline of Scotland, to Royal Turnberry Golf Club where I'm sure the weather will have a lot to do with who wins and who doesn't win.
So what storyline is going to be written this time.....
Can Padraig win for the 3rd year in a row? Is Tiger going to tie his buddy Roger and win his 15th Major? Can Greg Norman turn the fountain of youth on again, but keep it on Sunday too and shock the world? Or do even bigger underdogs, like John Daly or David Duval revisit past glory? Or do stars like Paul Casey, Sergio, Ernie, Anthony Kim or others get the big prize come Sunday night?
Who do you think will hold the Claret Jug come Sunday??

Tiger met with Obama in April as a courtesy during Tiger’s ATT Tourney.
He was gracious, saying that he would love to play a round with Obama but their schedules are just too busy...
Google it..I just couldn’t find any big speech.
Tiger has been very quiet about any political bend. He DID do a commercial during the campaign speaking about the need to support the troops.
Basically, I could really give a rip if he supports Obummer or not, however there is no solid evidence he does or doesn’t. In any case, let’s leave the TIGER BASHING alone for the thread.

Tiger is a friend of Obama and gave a speech for him after O was nominated. He gave a wonderful speech for Obama. He would love....Obama...too busy. Enough said.
Take it somewhere else unless because you will not convince me unless you also support Obama like Tiger does.

No Tiger gave a speech at Obama’s inauguartion. Any other golfers give a speech at Obamumma’s inaug? Didn’y think so. No Phil, Sergio, Stricker, Mahan, Zack or any other golfers. Nike is also a big supporter of Obama like Tiger is but you knew that.
Here, maybe I can clear some things up......
Tiger was invited to speak at the Sunday event 2 days before the inauguration by some staffer who was put in charge of assembling the talent for the event. I’ve seen the video, read the context of the speech. Tiger doesn’t mention Obama by name or reference ONCE. His speech was entirely pro-military oriented and ETW didn’t stray from that context one bit. See, as pro-military as Earl was and instilling that in Tiger results in random acts, such as this.
If I remember right, noted conservative actor and huge supporter of the military, Gary Sinese was also part of the talent on that day. Now I don’t remember this for sure, but I don’t think he mentioned Stupid’s name either. Do I think any less of Gary, cause he stood up for his military, HELL NO!!!

One other thing. Think Joe Buck couldn’t wait for Stupid to leave the booth tonight. Now I know, in a perfect world Joe should have to FOX to go to hell, I’m not interviewing him. We know his dad, Jack probably would have told his bosses off if given the same scenario. Does that make Joe, who like Jack leans conservative and is huge supporter of the military any less so only cause he had to sit next to Stupid for 10 minutes?

Our four man best ball team won today at 8 under. Windy, hot and humid conditions. I was not good off the tee today, but I hit a solid 6 iron in to get us a birdie, a solid second three wood to get us the par 5 green in two for eagle, we got bird. Had a fourty...no, really a 76 foot, well closer to 89 foot putt, downhill right break..dead solid for bird as well...fun time had with all and daughter took pictchurs!

For Thursday, 70% chance of rain in the afternoon continuing through the night..
High 60, Low 51.....
On Friday, 70% chance of rain through the day, slowly ending overnight. Winds will be a factor too, coming from the NNW at 15-20 mph. High 58, Low 51.
Weekend looks good still. On both Saturday and Sunday, less than 30% chance of showers and lightened winds around 10 mph. Saturday and Sunday temps around 60.

Almost 60 year old Tom Watson is leading after shooting a 5 under 65.
I know it won’t last, but I had to grab a scren shot of the leaderboard with Watson’s name atop it. I would love to see him have the first day lead.

I know you’re right, but we all said the same thing last year with Norman.
I just woke up, turned the tube on and my eyes about jumped out of my head. It’s obvious most are taking advantage of the easier conditions right now.
Sticks’ 66 is}ock solid too. Cink bogies 18 to finish with a 66. And then he’ll grab a phone or computer and tweet on how things went
