I remember the keynote address at the Dem Convention and an absolute chill went up my spine. (And certainly NOT the kind of chill that Chris Matthews had.) The next morning I was having breakfast at a restaurant and I heard two older women talking about the speech, totally blathering about what a wonderful leader this young black man would be for the nation. I wondered how they could be so snookered, but recognized that it was a horrifying omen of things to come.
Faith, I saw that too. And I ALSO saw the kennedy/clinton long dream coming true when right after his speech, they began running him for president.

I called my Dad after the speech and asked him about Barack Obama. He said who?
I felt he was being show cased and my own Dad didn’t know about this guy! I wonder if it was because Obama was so present.
