I’ve missed some threads and have not been paying attention to FR as much as I should. After checking around FR my surmise is:
1) Someone posted one or more pictures of Malia Obama wearing her ‘peace’ shirt while traveling with the TOTUS. Some FR posters made some accurate as well as snide comments about her.
2) Some exceptionaily nasty comments were made as well, which other Freepers now claim were made by new posters (trolls) in order to make FR look bad.
From what I can gather the mods pulled the thread, deleted the offensive material, reinstated the thread, then pulled it again. (Not sure about these details, but you get the gist).
3) The Vancouver Sun was somehow alerted (in a suspicious manner by someone ‘researching’ conservative web sites) to the nasty comments. FR Thread on VS article and comments here.

4) Liberal/Commie blog sites also picked up on the alleged FR nasty comments to embarass the web site.
5) According to Kos, MSNBC ‘reporter’ David Shuster is going to run with the Vancouver Sun article Sunday or Monday in order to embarass FR.
From what I can gather, I’m not sure at all since the original poster “Joinedafterattack” was not very clear, the suprise may be that the FR thread was hijacked on purpose by a mole at Kos (who solicited likeminded commie attacks) in order to reveal how leftists will use these attacks to discredit conservative web sites.
That’s my guess so far, awaiting further details.
Another thought, it’s funny, but talk about ‘projection’ by the dems/libs.
The dems use of web site subterfuge and Canada’s Vancouver Sun reminds me of HRC’s claims about the VRWC, IOW, that evil GOP operatives would plant stories in the foreign press or alternative media outlets to allow more mainstream US media outelts (in HRC’s case Rush, now Fox) to use that as cover when reporting embarassing information.
My guess is NASA has discovered life on mars and ACORN is building a ship...
