I think the grass is stealing for the corn. Pull it up by the roots. Shake the dirt off and use as a mulch. Corn looks too close together....but hard to tell. Corn is s huge nitrogen eater

It’s been a struggle with the weeds and grass this year and you are correct that I planted them a bit close together.
