This morning I downloaded the new Safari-4 (XP) and, after a solid day of constant use, it's been totally stable with zero crashes. Before, I experienced at ;least 2 each day - sometimes more. Speed is a bit faster, too so overall very pleased with the upgrade.

As an aside, the new version was slightly smaller than previous.

I've taken it in to the Mac bar 3 times and each time they seem to find some little thing that needs to be updated or some tweak.

Something is not right and you need to get it fixed. The Genius bar should be able to diagnose and get it done. Try that again, and stop the frustration.

You have something abnormal going on for sure. I have a Macbook, 2 gigs RAM and it’s locked up maybe 3 times in 2+ years. I use mine for studio recording and it never lets me down a single time.

Gonna guess you have a ram issue or a hard drive issue. Something definitely ain’t as it should be.

Good, I’ve been hoping that they were working on something. My Mac that I was using the latest version of Safari on has been crashing so often that I have been using my older iBook that run an earlier version. Hope that this fixes my problem. I kept getting a bunch of text that said something about waiting for a debugger connection. Never could find out what that meant.

Update: I downloaded the new Safari and so far so good. I would have already crashed by now on the old one. Looks like it might have some cool features and it does seem faster.
