Amen to that. I don't mind most misspellings, but I can't seem to get past this one. I can deal with "2 cool 2 b 4gotn" but "It's a bad thing to loose your mind" makes me crazy!

I think that is frequently a typo. I never hear anyone actually “say” loose when they mean lose. The error shows up in my own typing (I type phonetically, I guess—think choose and booze for example) and of course a spell-checker does not find it. If you are a fast typist, you do not type letters, but whole words, and do not think of the letters at all. It annoys me no end when I find I’ve done it. It has nothing to do with spelling ability.
