"Things like State capitals. Ugh.

Capital of Maine? Bangor! Nope.

Pennsylvania? Philadelphia! Nope"

Yeah. But, Boy! do I love the states song. Even though I've never gotten the answer to:

What did Ida ho, boys, what did Ida ho.

Well, it’s obvious that we have to triple the amount we’re already spending on education, and quadruple the salaries of NEA teachers. We have to have video game consoles at every desk, and giant plasma screens in every classroom, hallway, lounge area and rest room.

Our kids deserve no less.

"This is the capital song we use. :)"

Clever. Any five year old would just simply love it. ( ^: }

Meanwhile, here's a question for you:

What did Tennes see boys, what did Tennes see?

I quizzed three of our four oldest children. One of them has not had a “government” class in school. He missed three or four though I made him do it again, and he got them all right. When he missed two, he started acting stupid and deliberately missing them because he didn’t want to feel stupid. Anywho, he will have government this year in school. Son #2 had a “law” class this year, and he missed one question—how many years is a senate term. Daughter #2, who is older than the sons, missed the senate term, too, confusing herself because there are elections for senator ever two years. I will quiz our oldest daughter when she gets home. She has never had a government/civics class.

The same thing Arkansas, of course.

Alternate answer: I don’t know, but Alaska.

"Alternate answer: I don’t know, but Alaska."

Hey! That's pretty good. ( ^: }

But, you're right, of course. The answer to "What did Tennes see" is "she saw what Arkan sas (saw).

There are others, of course, and one other I don't have an answer for: "Where has Oregon, boys where has Ore gon? (gone)
