You claimed that an expensive machine with a dead battery is useless. This would certainly be an unusual attitude if applied to automotive maintenance. It was in direct response to your argument, and was not a personal insult or attack.

Ok maybe useless was a poor choice of words as you can still use it plugged in like I am doing with my Compaq. For a laptop that expensive it would be great to offer a spare battery, but since there was overwhelming praise over how well Apple handles warranty claims maybe I underestimated Apple.
