I also know people still using those Star-Tac phones today some 10 years after they bought their phones.
I liked mine a lot. Had to ditch it to get a new cell contract. I had a piece of the plastic broken off a corner, and the PC board was exposed, but it worked like a champ. I’m biased, though...I worked for Motorola for many years.
