Hummingbird watching at my daughter’s house near Houston was simply amazing.. I never see more than 2 at a time here.
My raccoon friends do have drawbacks..I have not put a hummingbird feeder up since I lost my 4th feeder to their antics. Hummingbirds are such a joy to watch but I gave up.
I know you miss Brenda. (((HUGS)))

I have had papa Cardinal feeding juveniles to watch lately...

Remember, the little girl down the street broke my hummingbird feeder? I could not find one just like it and that was all I was going to accept. Walmart usually has the kind I like but didn’t this year. Some of theirs were so cheaply made from China. After checking Lowe’s, I had to get on the Website and found the one I wanted. My son said to order him one too. So I ordered two and it took no time for them to be delivered. BUT I got the kind I wanted.

I have had trouble with squirrels on my finch feeder though. The same son bought me a new one for Mother’s Day (I think) my birthday and Mother’s Day are close for me. But it is trimmed in metal and has metal perches amd they can’t chew them but they continue to wrap themselves around them, trying to tear them up to get to the seed!

The little red headed finches built in one of my ferns this year again. They don’t bother it at all. I have those clear plastic things attached to the hanging pot and I water from the bottom, so they fly out sometimes but come straight back. They have raised 2 families in the fern this season and I like to watch them! And it just reminds me, I must go water and put water in birdbaths.
