I always wondered why no one has tried the following endeavor... a man who wants to divorce his wife can hire an enterprising gigolo to seduce his wife away from him... up to and including the act of adultery. Armed with videotaped evidence, a prospective divorcing husband could easily get a “nice” divorce with no alimony payments required. :)

What state do you live in? Any divorce I’ve heard of, adultery is immaterial. The cases I’ve seen, the judge refused to allow evidence of adultery into the record.

Ha! I should of thought of that! Instead, I got stuck for $1,200 a month alimony for 8 years. I am in a celebratory mood this week.... only 5 more years to go! Don’t get me wrong, I don’t begrudge doing the alimony bit but when its over, its over.

Divorce sucks pure and simple, I stuck in my marriage (faithfully) for 21 years until I had had enough.By the time it was over we were more like college roommates than husband and wife. We bickered and argued over EVERYTHING. New day, pick a fight topic.

I was raised Roman Catholic and dreaded the idea of divorce for a long time. But, alas, I couldn’t imagine myself living with my spouse for the rest of my life under those conditions.

Even now she still can be a pain in the arse but I could never imagine doing anything harmful or wishing ill will on my ex.

Choose your mate wisely and make sure the child rearing philosophies are in tangent. Otherwise, you are courting rough waves in the relationship as the children grow.

My two cents,

MFO
