Amazing how much reporting and “crying” over a pedophile!

Right now it’s an Al Sharpton mouth-a-thon on Fox.

Lose the TV. Get a beer. Take deep breaths.

BTW, lose the TV doesn't mean w/ a 12 gauge, unless you are in the country and won't get in trouble.... Simply dump it at the curb and 30 minutes later it is gone.

Michael Jackson's life was more bizarre than any freak show at Cony Island. Still 5 minutes of air time is enough.

Stories like this one take the spotlight off the economy, Obama, unemployment, healthcare and the other depressing doom-and-gloom daily issues. People are drawn to it as a sort of bizarre escape. It gets huge ratings; I’m betting it will be a top story on all channels for weeks.

Well it’s not like there is at this very moment the most destructive legislation to the Republic ever unleashed making its way thru the corridors of corruption. Oh, wait...

It's just as well. If we weren't hearing Michael Jackson stories we'd be hearing non-stop coverage of this guy:

FOX has spent from 7-7:44 pm on it, too, and by 8 pm I expect that it will have been the entire 7-8 pm newscast.

Lets face it, Michael Jackson is a bigger audience draw than world news, shamnesty, cap and tax.

It’s understandable that this story is getting wall-to-wall coverage. It’s the biggest news story in the world. If Fox doesn’t cover it they’ll be the only ones.

I know, sheppie has been going on and on about how old he is (42) and how him and his little high school buddies back in ‘82 around the time of their high school graduation just couldn’t wait to get home and hear the new Thriller album by freakzoid MJ or some such garbage. BARF. I knew MJ was barf way back when he came out with that 123, easy as ABC, song in about 1968. BLECH BLECH. MJ was a loser.

I know you’re right, but doesn’t this say a lot about ourselves & where we’ve gone as a nation?

We are in such a hell-hole in this country anymore. I’m so disgusted, sick with it...and feel so utterly, completely, totally powerless to do anything about it. What is RIGHT is WRONG, and what is wrong is right. Nearly everyday I say to myself and often out loud: “God help us; God have mercy on us!” What else can I do? What else can be said. It’s all so surreal...

I share your frustration. I want coverage on the Cap and Trade fiasco that Congress will vote on tomorrow. Can we get coverage of that, please?

I remember during the Clinton/Lewinsky debacle saying to my dad that the only thing that could knock the story off the front page would be if Frank Sinatra died...and wouldn’t ya know it...he did!
