"I was just curious, I don't have any tattoo's. My 74 year old husband has one on each arm left over from his time in the USCG. They are the worst looking things you have ever seen. Some of these kids need to see what an old tattoo looks like before they get one."

I'm no genius, that's for sure. But the "what will it look like years from now" is precisely the things that come to my mind when "thinking" of getting a tattoo.

I had friend upon friend get tattoos when I was just out of high school (back then, people waited until after they finished to mutilate themselves). I'm ever so glad I remain tattoo free.

Although it doesn't take long for tattoos to start looking like crap, it would be a good idea for people to see books of naked old people with tattoos before getting their first one. That is a service the tattoo parlors would never agree to.
