We agree about that. :) Jewell is hot!
“Ride with the Devil” is also a favorite of mine, mainly because of the accuracy in speech, and the fact that it realistically shows the war in Missouri for what it was, a blood bath, with atrocities committed by both sides. I really have a problem with the fact that both sides killed civilians.....
My favorite line is during the Lawrence Raid when Rodel and Holt are having breakfast while the raid is going on. In comes Pitt Mackeson to round up the people running the cafe, and Rodel tells him that they'll deal with the people once they're done eating. Mackeson walks over to Rodel and says, "Why you little Dutch son of a bitch. You do what I tell you or I'll kill you." Jake responds by pulling a really big pistol and pointing it a few inches from Mackeson's face saying, "And when do you figure to do this mean thing to me Mackeson? Is this very moment convenient for you? It is for me."
I love that movie. It was shot in and around the KC area, and the Lawrence destruction was actually done in a small town north of here that got flooded out in 1993 and was abandoned.
