Thanks for the ping...Ike, IMO, was a greatly under-appreciated POTUS. If he had been a dummocrat, he would have been postioned as the most brilliant military strategist since Alexander the Great and the best president since Washington.
I agree. He had 13 million illegals rounded up and deported (it sez, uh, okay, I closed the tab), successfully intervened in Lebanon, and revived the Pubbies (he was also suggested for the Demwit nomination, and turned down the idea) after two arguably successful Demwits had run the White House for twenty years.
Side comment — were he alive today, Truman would have some sharp words to say about Obama.
