btw, I don’t know where you get your garlic starts, but I have had a lot of success with Territorial Seeds. They have some crazy varieties!

But they can be chosen by climate. I used to pick the ones from Poland and Russia when I lived in Ohio. I suspect they have some for more moderate climates like SC?

I get seeds from Territorial and really like them.

I don’t recall where I got my garlic from, but the selection was overwhelming. I finally picked one that I figured would do well in our climate and planted them in the fall.

They are going gangbusters this spring. Some even have two flower spikes coming up, much like any bulb that divides would.

I won’t be depending on Chinese garlic this year. I’m thinking that they just might make good Christmas gifts to my inlaws who like to cook with garlic a lot. Nice, homegrown, organic garlic.
