Yup, I shamelessly took your video w/o attribution.
This song captures the ESSENCE of late April / Early May skies in Minnesota, with the clouds scudding across a crystal blue northern sky. :-)
(Sound of grey_whiskers purring).
Cheers!

No way is Clapton that high. Good yes, but ahead of Satch? Nope. Jimmy Page is overrated.
Hetfield isn't even the best guitarist in his own band.

I prefere taste, class, and decorum to mere shredding ANY day.
I'd like that clip more if the sound didn't remind me of *every* dreary pretentious art film I've ever seen.
But the discipline and evocativeness are spot ON!!!
Cheers!

People might scoff when they hear this but my vote for best guitarist would have to go to Eliot Easton of The Cars. That band could certainly rock in concert and Eliot Easton was the driving force.
Special mention should also go Elvis Costello. He's definitely one of the best "lead singer" guitarists out there. It can be tough to sing and play lead guitar all at the same time.
Also that Mick Ronson guy from mid-1970s was also good but he ended up messing himself up on drugs and died young. In fact, in 78 more days, I will outlive him and yes, I am keeping track.

Great guitar man (after watching several youtube performances this morning). I was unfamiliar with Chris (RIP) Whitley’s work. Thanks much CowboyJay

No Django Reinhardt or Phil Keaggy on that list.
Tear it up and try again.

That list is almost right. Clapton is number 1 and Angus should be about 6 or so.

Jorma Kaukonen Nice catch. I've met Jorma. He's the most down to earth good guy you will ever know. The man can play.

Saw Roy Clark in a small theater ten years ago.
The man was in the pocket all night. He played about ten different styles on eight different guitars and NAILED every one. He just smoked.
Most people of his stature could just mail it in, but he gave the show everything he had. His band was made up of suburb musicians and he made sure that every one had at least one chance to show his stuff, while he strummed in the background.
The man is nothing but class.
On the way out I picked up his collaborative CD with Joe Pass (Joe Pass’ last recording I believe). Anyone who can sit down and trade licks with Joe Pass is in rare company, indeed.

Many moons ago I lived in Nashville and worked at a Radio Shack that was close to where many of country’s finest lived. Roy would come in the store from time to time. VERY nice guy with a passion for just having a good time. He treated me like I was one of his kids and would always wait for me to when he wanted to buy something.

At the present time....i think that Guthrie Govan is the most technical and flawless player i have heard in a while...I’ve seen Malmsteen, Vai, Satch, EVH....this guy is a monter with great feeling chops that he can just produce off the cuff...he’s incredible to watch.
