I wonder about those seats, if security didn't allow them to be used. Tickets to a loved ones graduation are very restricted at a place like the USNA. How many more friends and family could have attended if those seats had been used? Does any actually know the reason?

Those sections of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium are always empty during graduation.

No! You are wrong! Those are the seats set aside for the Members of The Annapolis Midshipman’s Republican Club:-) Janet Napolitano’s Homeland Security would NOT allow them admittance to their reserved seats since she has declared all declared Republicans are Terrorists! Thats why they refused to allow two Kindergarten Classes to take their Tour of the White House yesterday and to meet the President! The poor kids wouldn’t swear to Vote Democrat when they turned 18 at the White House Gates! so they were denied the Tour and Meeting with the TOTUS they had been promised for months./s/
