They both start from a point of bias and their judgment will be so colored. Skeptics are the mirror image of those who believe without evidence...neither approach the subject scientifically. To both, their belief is a matter of faith and/or desire...and not the product of rational thought.
And, as an obviouis truism, it has a global reach. I think it does encompass accurately both perspectives in such a matter.
However, most naysayers break out in hives, appoplexy and hysterical frothing at the mouth when confronted with anything remotely accusing them of having a shred of faith about anything. One wonders how they manage to have faith that other drivers will stop at red lights.
